SELMA, California — October 23, 2026. California58 Local reviewed an official city document and prepared this original community explainer. Dated schedules, proposals and public notices should not be mistaken for final decisions or completed work.
What changed?
Selma’s official news index includes an August 20, 2026 announcement titled New FCRTA Pickup and Drop-Off Location at Walmart. The announcement indicates a local boarding-location change associated with Fresno County Rural Transit Agency service.
Why must riders check the specific stop?
The city news headline alone does not provide the exact curbside position, which bus lines use it, whether every route has moved or how frequently buses stop. A retailer’s mailing address is not necessarily the correct place to wait for public transportation. Confirm the actual bus stop on FCRTA’s current map and schedule.
What about accessible service?
Riders who need wheelchair access, mobility assistance, a connection to another operator or a particular timed transfer should check service availability directly with the transit agency. A recently announced stop does not by itself guarantee every vehicle or demand-response route serves the location.
How to avoid missed trips
Use the current FCRTA rider resources for times and boarding instructions; check the city notice if the operator’s map still appears to show an older location. Ask the city or FCRTA to clarify differences in publicly posted stop information, and report dated corrections to California58.
