California58 Local | October 23, 2026. This report is based on a dated primary government source and distinguishes proposals from adopted decisions.
The voting calendar
Selma’s election information lists October 24 as the start of the 11-day vote center period, with all vote centers open October 31–November 3. Election Day is November 3, with voting from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. The published schedule is a guide; check Fresno County’s actual locations and current hours.
Registration after October 19
The ordinary registration deadline passed October 19, but the city lists a conditional voter registration period October 20–November 3. Eligible residents should ask an authorized voting location how conditional registration and provisional ballots work rather than assume they can use any drop box for registration.
Vote-by-mail details
The city lists November 10 as the last date to receive a vote-by-mail ballot that was postmarked by November 3. Voters should verify ballot status with Fresno County Elections and never rely on an unofficial candidate message for their polling address.
